Philip is a general practice surveyor with experience including primary healthcare clinics, institutional and other charity-owned buildings. Additionally, he has done extensive work in landlord and tenant dispute resolution, rent reviews, lease renewals, compulsory purchase compensation (for acquiring authorities and for claimants), loan-security valuation, sales, lettings, dilapidations, expert-witness reports, and appearance in Courts and Tribunals. Philip is a qualified Arbitrator with long experience resolving property-related disputes including Professional Arbitration on Court Terms. He was a Ministry of Justice-appointed Valuer on First Tier Tribunal to determine disputed rents, estate-management, service charges, housing and leasehold enfranchisement issues. Philip was a principal of Strettons' Hackney office from 1982-1987 and was the founder, director and principal at our Spitalfields & City Office from 1987-2009.
From 1995, he was a member of RICS President’s panels of Arbitrators and Independent Experts, RICS assessor for testing professional competence of newly qualified surveyors and an external tutor for post-graduate training and advice, City University Business School.
Strettons has an admirable record for keeping in touch with former employees, many of whom moved on decades ago, and Philip is proud to join these alumni.
